Convert the team healing system to reverse digestion, instead of automatically healing team mates when they're the prey of an ally. Predators can maintain their prey after being eaten, allowing players to be the prey of players who are themselves the prey of other players. The AI learns which players are usually a predator or prey during the match, and are more likely to chase or avoid individuals based on how they perceive them against the vore traits desired by that bot. Large players may now be too big to fit in some areas (without crouching) whereas small players can be tiny enough to enter tight spaces inaccessible to normal size players. having only the illusion of smaller / larger size caused many issues. Previously we were unable to change the scale of the actual collision box, only the visual size of the player model was altered. Users of those platforms should no longer need to manually create a shortcut and add the parameters by hand.

Scripts for launching Vore Tournament under Windows and Linux are now included. You can find the list of modifications in the CHANGES.md file, here are the most important highlights since the previous release: As of this month they're available to the community, with the second release of the project Vore Tournament 2.0.1. During this time roughly 10 new features, 10 gameplay changes, 15 bug fixes, and many smaller modifications have been added to the Git repository. except for hash tables of course, but being forced to use those for everything is hardly an advantage. It's been exactly two years since Vore Tournament 2.0.0 has been released, as a reboot of the now defunct 0.7.0 branch. and even then you'll still be behind on capabilities. If you want lua or some other language that gives syntax errors at all the wrong times then you'll have to write all the glue yourself. If you want to program quake gamecode in C, you can go grab ktx, but that won't work in darkplaces. That's not because quakec is some super language, but rather because quakec is a decent enough language that is far too well established in its niche. retaining qc compat just doesn't do it justice and the new gamecode is incomplete and a little bit lame because of it. There's little point in supporting anything other than quakec from an engine perspective as this would alienate the engine from the rest of the community. doom3 uses C for the bulk of its gamecode but also uses a variant of quakec for its map scripting. quake2 and quake3's gamecode was written in C. Quake3 is not quake and has never used quakec. QuakeC is easier and less likely to crash. dll gamecode for natively compiled languages that can make sense of a C api, or you can write your own glue code. I looking for alternative.įte+mvd+ezquake servers support. I know that QuakeC can be good for someone, but i dont want to have XXX posts about "QuakeC is good blah blah blah". So, is theres any OTHER scripting language to use with Darkplaces? I dont like QuakeC.

I found "XReal" but when i try to load it i get error, when i run it via -game Xreal or in Quake 3 Arena -> Mods -> Xreal then i get only White textures, and nothing more, no graphics at all. There's no nice looking Quake III engine like this one from Darkplaces. View topic - QConstruct (Lua scripting for quake III) but its Lua Language (i love Lua language) for Quake III.
